Zero Waste Skirt inspired by 18th Century Petticoats.
Ankle-length. Tie waist, adjustable sizing. Long ties will wrap around waist and back to make a bow.
Designed for 78cm waist. Will fit anywhere from 70cm to 80cm (27”-31.5”)
100% rayon challis, white floral print on a navy blue background. Fabric is lightweight and ever so slightly sheer if light is behind it. Polyester thread.
Cold water wash, hang to dry, iron on low from inside.
Designer Commentary:
This is the very first iteration of the Europaea Skirt. The pleating is more spaced out than the cotton-linen version, and the ties are much longer. I won't be using this exact version of the design again, since I prefer the way I changed it for the regular Europaea skirts.
Rayon wrinkles like crazy, but it's super breathable and comfortable to wear, so it's a trade-off. Perfect for summer (so of course I'm uploading this in the last couple weeks of summer, whoops).
Can also be worn as a swim coverup or a dress if you use the slit as a neckline, and knot the ties at your shoulder.
